Cookie & Tracker Policy — Vagary Voice
Effective date: 2026-07-29 · Version: v2.0
Operated by: Vagary Labs LLP (LLPIN ADA-4675), House No. 418 Ward No. 38, Chandni Takij Road, Satna, Kotwali, Raghurajnagar, Satna - 485001, Madhya Pradesh, India.
Applies to: vagaryvoice.cloud and portal.vagaryvoice.cloud.
This policy explains how Vagary Voice uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy at vagaryvoice.cloud/privacy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDK identifiers) store or read information on your device. Under DPDP, identifiers that relate to an identifiable individual are personal data and require a lawful basis (consent for non-essential categories).
2. Consent
On your first visit we present a consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent; analytics and advertising load only after you opt in, and each of those two categories can be accepted or rejected on its own. Until you opt in, no analytics or advertising tag is loaded at all: we emit a denied-by-default consent signal to Google's tag framework before any tag can run, and we do not inject the tags themselves.
You can change or withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie settings control, which appears on every page of vagaryvoice.cloud and portal.vagaryvoice.cloud. Re-opening it shows your current choices and lets you change them. Withdrawing a category stops those tags from loading and clears the cookies we are able to clear from our own domain; cookies already set by a third party on its own domain are cleared through that party's controls in §5.
We record each choice — a timestamp, the version of this policy then in force, and the categories you selected — in your browser and in a server-side consent log, so that we can demonstrate the consent we relied on.
3. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Cookies and identifiers | Retention | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Signing you in and keeping you signed in | access_token; refresh_token | 15 minutes; 7 days | No |
| Strictly necessary | Cross-site request forgery protection | csrfSecret; XSRF-TOKEN | 1 hour | No |
| Strictly necessary | Recording your cookie choices so we do not ask again | vv_cookie_consent | 12 months | No |
| Strictly necessary | Bot and abuse protection at our CDN edge, where the edge applies it | __cf_bm (Cloudflare) | 30 minutes | No |
| Strictly necessary | Remembering the interface preference you chose, such as light or dark theme | theme-preference (browser local storage) | Until you clear it | No — it stores only the choice you made yourself |
| Analytics | Measuring site usage | Google Analytics 4 — _ga, _ga_3DHQJ4NDTH (property G-3DHQJ4NDTH), loaded through Google Tag Manager container GTM-TLVSBV7S | 2 years | Yes |
| Analytics | Product analytics | PostHog — ph_*_posthog identifier, in a cookie and in browser local storage | 12 months | Yes |
| Advertising | Ad delivery and measurement | Google AdSense, publisher ca-pub-8413532915493704 — __gads and __gpi on our domain; IDE and test_cookie set by doubleclick.net | 13 months | Yes |
Cookies set by our payment processor during a checkout flow are governed by that processor's own policy.
4. Third-party cookies
The analytics and advertising cookies above are set by third parties under their own policies:
- Google (Analytics 4, Tag Manager, AdSense, DoubleClick) — Google Privacy Policy
- PostHog, Inc. — PostHog Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare, Inc., which serves our domains and receives your IP address and request metadata — Cloudflare Privacy Policy
We do not control third-party cookies beyond keeping the non-essential ones behind consent.
5. How to control cookies
- The in-product Cookie settings control, available on every page — re-opens the consent banner at any time.
- Browser controls (block or delete cookies) — note this may break sign-in and other necessary functions.
- Vendor opt-outs: the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and Google My Ad Center for advertising personalisation.
6. Retention
Cookie lifetimes are stated per row in §3. We review the inventory whenever a tag is added or removed, and at each revision of this policy.
7. Changes & contact
We may update this policy; the effective date and version will change. Questions: [email protected] / Grievance Officer Chinmay Ramraika — [email protected].
